How does Christian Therapy work?
Christian therapy provides a safe, supportive space to explore both your faith and the challenges you’re facing in life. It’s a place where your spiritual beliefs are not only welcomed but integrated into the healing process. We recognize that everyone is on a unique journey, and therapy can be a meaningful part of that path—offering guidance, hope, and clarity through a Christ-centered lens.
The best way to find the right therapist for you is to ask around for referrals. Talk to your friends, family, and doctor to see if they know anyone who might be a good fit for you. You can also look online for therapist directories or directories specific to your needs (e.g., Christian Counselors, couples counselors, addiction therapists etc.). Once you have a few names, you can research their credentials and approach to therapy to see if they’re a good fit for you. We offer a 15-minute free consultation so you have the opportunity to talk to me and see if you feel like we would be a good fit before your initial appointment.
The first step is to book a consultation call with us. This is an opportunity for us to learn more about you and your unique situation, and for you to ask any questions you might have about therapy. If we think we can be of help, we’ll schedule an initial session. From there, we’ll meet weekly (or more or less frequently, depending on what you need) to work through whatever issue you’re facing.
Some benefits that people often experience from therapy are feeling more positive about themselves, developing healthier relationships, and resolving past traumas. However, the benefits that you personally experience will depend on what you bring to therapy and what you want to get out of it.
